Acupuncture

Using fine guage, painless needles to change how the body copes with pain and dysfunction.

I have spent my whole life being interested in medicine. Chinese medicine has helped me on my personal journey to wellness and continues to help me cope with chronic pain and digestive issues. I strongly believe in personalized care whether you have pain from an injury or symptoms associated with cancer treatment, I am honored to be here for you.

When my Mom was re-diagnosed with cancer in 2007, I knew that I wanted to be one of her primary care givers. I enjoyed and cherish my participation in her treatment, her hospice care and, ultimately, her death in 2011. I feel that caring for her was the best gift I could ever give her and myself. This is the passion I bring to my acupuncture practice. A desire to bring connection and caring to healing.

I have happily spent the majority of my life in the Pacific Northwest. I grew up and went to high school in Portland, Oregon, then went to college at The University of Washington in Seattle. I returned to Portland for work after college and worked for a variety of medical companies before wanting more out of life than a regular 9-5 job and a house in the ‘burbs. In 2003, I began a 4 year program at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine to pursue my dream of practicing medicine.

I moved to Woodland in 2005 and am blessed to be a part of the community I serve. I live on 3 acres under the trees with my husband and various animals. I have been at my current location on Belmont Loop since early 2008. It is a lovely building with easy access to I-5 and Hwy 503, in Woodland, just minutes from Kalama, Ridgefield, La Center, Battle Ground, Vancouver, and Longview.

In 2022, I completed my Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine (DTCM) at Five Branches University. It was a program focused on integrative medicine and I was able to interact with local western biomedicine providers. I graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in 2007 with a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAcOM). I am a Diplomate of Acupuncture in good standing with the NCCAOM, the national organization that certifies acupuncturists to maintain quality. I am licensed to practice in Washington (East Asian Medical Practitioner - AC00003067) and Oregon (LAc - AC01173).
